How many excuses have I made? How many times have I said "I've got too much on my plate to work out" or "Oh, the weather is dreadful, maybe tomorrow I will exercise." I'd venture to guess the answer to that questions is "too many."
Yesterday, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and I'd had enough of excuses. Even though I was wearing jeans, and even though I had my youngest child in tow, and even though I had to tinkle, I still broke out the stroller and my MP3 player and walked .6 of a mile.
Sure, it was quick. Sure, I didn't burn that many calories, but gosh darn it, it felt good. I'm doing a 5K race next month, and I feel like, even though I haven't been preparing, if I keep fitting in fitness when I can, I will be strong and on point.
So join me on my journey to "fit in fitness" wherever, whenever and however I can. You know what they say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
